Snowflake Musings

  There is value in a challenge, and splendor in accomplishment. Hard things are worth doing. Making every effort to achieve the impossible through determination and faith is a worthy goal, especially at the start of the new year.  What does that look like for you?  Will you begin a dream position?  Create your magnum opus?  Embrace a new season in life? Will you stand out in the cold and seek the beauty of a snowflake?  
     Three Sisters are challenged this year to seek a thing of beauty each day, snap a picture and record a line of commentary.  This could be kept in a file on your phone or better yet, a journal created just for this purpose.  Imagine, at the end of the year pages and pages of lovely images to enrich the heart and nourish the soul.  Let’s all do it!  Let’s get our family and friends to do it, too.  Maybe we could change the world by changing our observation of it over the next 365 days.  
     There are other worthy goals to start in the new year - goals like…letter writing.  We all want to do it but…where’s a pen and the stationary and who ever has a stamp?  It can be hard to begin a new practice, but once begun, easily maintained, especially when rewarded with letters in return!  In TeaTime magazine this year we will write on the merits of tea drinking and letter writing.  They just go together and the best way to start a new habit (letter writing) is to hook it onto an existing one (tea drinking) so…while sipping a cup of tea, write a letter, too!  Our dream for 2026 is to unite a community of letter-writing-tea-drinkers across the country, no the world, and reach out through space and time because life is more beautiful when we live it together!
